Asilo is situated on the 40th floor of St Regis, Mumbai. The word Asilo means “heaven” in Spanish and it definitely sticks to its name because Asilo is the highest rooftop restaurant and bar in Mumbai. The stunning views of Mumbai’s skyline are unparalleled from this restaurant.

Although Asilo is not amongst the budget-friendly restaurants, the breathtaking view is all worth the price. Asilo is very popular amongst all food lovers, looking to spend a beautiful time along with a jaw-dropping view.

Located on the 6th floor of the Marine Plaza Hotel, this lit-up terrace restaurant comes along with a gorgeous pool and a romantic ambience just by the beautiful view of the Arabian Sea and the Mumbai skyline. Just after opening The Allamanda Terrace became very loved and popular amongst people who want to spend an elegant evening with some good Punjabi food and a nice cocktail.

Although the menu is changed frequently to keep up with the customer demands, they still keep the element of diverse Indian regional cooking styles intact. A beautiful alcove is also present just by the pool for musicians to entice music lovers with live music.

The Allamanda Terrace is also a good option to go with if you are planning a social event with many guests or even within your close circle. Prebooking is also possible and recommended to avoid waiting in lines.

Enjoy your meal with your loved ones while gushing at the lovely panoramic view of the Arabian Sea and listening to the sound of the waves. We recommend making a reservation before you go as the place attracts a lot of food lovers and at the rush time you would have to settle with a seat without a view if you don’t prebook.

Some of the best dishes here that are highly recommended are the seafood platter, veg platter, kebabs, calamari fish, garlic bread, watermelon cooler, beer, wine and their range of cocktails.

Whenever you carve or want to try out some Baklava, Hummus, Lamb cutlets along with a glass of fine red wine drop in at the Souk to experience luxury and good taste like no other.

The must-have dishes here are plenty but the absolutely unmissable ones are Lebanese pizza, Falafel, Mezze, Hummus, Omali, Potato pancake, Turkish coffee and Mediterranean Tea.

Koyla Ethnic Cuisine has an interior to be inspired by. Majorly inspired by Mughal styles in both their interiors and food choices, this place provides visitors with a combo of regal and modern. If you want to spend a nice time having delicious food along with enjoying hookah amidst a perfect shamiana, then this is the place to be at.

Also highly recommended would be spending a romantic candlelight dinner with an excellent view of the Arabian Sea. The must-have dishes here are murgh Lucknowi Korma, Boneless Mutton Biryani, Achari Paneer, Kakori Kebab, Gosht Lababdar, Papad Roll and Lehsuni Palak.

Another lovely and affordable place to sit back and enjoy the mesmerizing view of the Arabian Sea. You also get the option for indoor sitting but the best time is for sure spent at the outdoor sitting area.

The best time to visit is during sunset to enjoy the amazing view. We recommend ordering a cup of coffee or a chilled beer with some yummy snacks and just sitting back and relaxing whilst taking in the view. The menu contains both Indian and continental food.

The must-have dishes are cold coffee, cheese sandwich, Tandoori Chicken Dimsum, Hot Chocolate, Special Tibetan Dimsum and Cottage Cheese Steak, Lemon Mojito, Paneer Butter Masala, Stuffed Mushrooms and Cheese or Chicken Croquette.

Rocky Star is known for its aesthetically pleasing ambience and mood-elevating food choices. The interiors of the place are very vibrant, classy and full of colours. Even the view from its rooftop seating is a must experience.

An interesting aspect of the restaurant menu is that the dishes are named after cities, for example, The Toulouse which is a grilled prawn dish in pesto sauce.

This place is one of those restaurants in Mumbai which serve authentic Chinese dishes which you can enjoy in an intimate setting in an ambience that has bright interiors and a beautiful sea view.

  1. Nine years ago at this time, I was lucky to have celebrated Diwali in Mumbai and it was a magical experience. I remember walking down Marine Drive during sunset and it was a special experience. I didn’t know about these fancy rooftop restaurants – I had McDonalds 😆 – and will remember for next time!
