Breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day. A healthy nutritious meal in the morning helps you get a head start for the day with the right amount of energy and a balanced mood. Many individuals during their normal course of life tend to forget the harmful effects of skipping breakfast and while travelling, it becomes obvious for a larger population. Although some people who make it a point to grab some food in the morning while travelling tend to give away their hunger cravings to unhealthy food choices that are available nearby. But this prevalent practice of life can be changed by making some small and simple efforts.
The following breakfast recipes are very easy to make and are full of nourishment which requires ingredients that are undeniably available all over the world at any street grocery shop. These recipes can not only be used to prepare breakfast in the daily course of life but also are perfect for travellers who want to make healthy food choices while travelling with minimum effort and price, at the least possible time.
1. Perfect Summer Fruit Salad with Honey Dressing
For many people, the term salad brings forth the idea of a boring dish which does not fulfil the food cravings of having something tasty. This notion has been carried along now for a long time and therefore deserves a change. Salads do not only have to be a mark of dull veggies and can be totally alternated with fruits.
You can choose any number of fruits as per your choice and preference, slice them into small pieces and mix them all together. Fruits like blueberries, mangoes, bananas, apples along with dry fruits like walnuts, raisins and almonds tend to burst the taste buds with joy and fulfilment. Sounds yummy, right!

To compliment your efforts, instead of choosing a salad dressing that is full of calories you can go with honey or if available mix a good amount of delicious probiotic yogurt to your salad. This will keep you full and running for a long period of time.
2. Oatmeal with Tomatoes, Green Apple and Bananas
First prepare the oats with the help of powdered milk, available widely in packets. This form of milk is easy to carry and just needs to be mixed with some water. Mix the oatmeal nicely with a natural sweetener like honey which is not only a healthy alternative to sugar but also provides your body with the necessary antioxidants and helps improve your cholesterol levels.

Top it up with sliced green apples, tomatoes and bananas. You can also mix some dry fruits like raisins, almonds and dates which aids your sweet tooth. Apples and bananas are perfect for fulfilling the fibre requirements of the body. It also helps in improving your digestive system along with moderating the blood sugar levels which helps in maintaining your energy throughout the day so that you can travel more without getting tired quickly and can absorb all the beauty and experience of a place within yourself.
3. The Morning Toast Platter
It may sometimes happen that you feel like preparing nothing for your breakfast. You might want to have something that you can just take out from your backpack and munch on or something that would be available anywhere, even in a small shack. At a point like that if you find yourself wondering what to have while keeping things healthy, give yourself the choice of a simple platter consisting of toasts, butter and jam coupled with one or two boiled eggs and some seasonal fruits.

This can also turn up to be a perfect opportunity to strike a conversation with a local person and get to know his culture along with a few complimentary advises on which sites to visit as a must around that place.
