Among these, the lemon iced tea is very refreshing and served in beautiful, classy glassware. If you are tired from a lot of walking around the store and just want to gulp some refreshment into your body, then this is the drink to go for.

2. Vegetable Salad Bowl

The salad served here is fresh and crunchy. The veggies are nicely cut and clean. The portion size is also appropriate. There are many salad dressing options available.

They by default give you the mustard dressing which goes well with vegetables but if you want a different dressing then you will have to pay an extra amount for it but surely, it’s going to be worth it.

The veggies provided in the salad are cucumber, bell peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and carrots. It’s a go-to meal if you want to dig into something healthy at IKEA.

3. Swedish Meatballs and Mashed Potatoes

By far the most popular dish at IKEA is this Swedish deli, chicken meatballs served with mashed potatoes, veggies, cream sauce and lingonberry jam. If you are visiting IKEA and heading to their restaurant to have some food and leaving without trying out this dish, then it’s a wasted trip.

The chicken meatballs are soft and mushy. The sauce spread over the meatballs is nothing less than heaven with its smooth buttery texture.

The veggies added consist of carrots, corn and sweet peas. The consistency of the mashed potatoes is remarkable. A healthy serving of the lingonberry jam gives the flavor almost like a cranberry sauce but a little bit tarter.

Vegetarians can go for the veggie meatballs options which are equally mouthwatering. We love the little Swedish flag placed on the top of the meatball and therefore the presentation of the dish also gets a thumbs up.

4. Paneer Butter Masala with Rice

If you are looking for some delectable vegetarian food options while on your visit at IKEA then you cannot miss out on their Paneer Butter masala.

The chefs at IKEA have got this dish right by getting the creamy flavorful gravy and the succulent paneer pieces bombard with taste in your mouth. The quantity of paneer butter masala and rice served is also quite good. It will leave you all full and happy.

5. Salmon Fillet

You can get this dish in the seafood section of the IKEA restaurant. If you are looking for something healthy, tasty and filling but don’t want a salad then this is the dish to go for.

The salmon is soft to cut through and hits the appropriate taste buds and you can feel all the nutrition going into your body.

The fish is adequately cooked but the whole dish might come across as bland to some, especially if you were looking for something that would excite your taste sensations with the spices. Try dipping the sliced fillet in the tangy Dill sauce and you are in for a treat.

You can have this dish which is a Scandinavian essential for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Another Swedish delicacy which is a must-try.

A classic New York-style cheesecake, definitely a must-eat after all the appetizing starters and main course you would have had. It will also serve you well if you are just looking for some desserts. At just INR 180, this cheesecake is a really good deal.

The lingonberry sauce balances the sweetness of the cheesecake with its tangy side. The cheesecake itself is soft and creamy and has the perfect consistency.

The base is also correctly set with the right flavors. Overall, we felt that it’s one of the best cheesecakes in town and is heavenly.

They have five options for cookies which are Gur Til, Masala Chai, Oatmeal, Chocochip and Double Chocochip. Out of these, the most famous and also our favourite are the Gur Til cookies.

A quite unique recipe, these Gur Til cookies are a must-try and go perfectly along with your unlimited refills of tea and coffee.

Some IKEA stores in India have the option of Chicken tikka masala and biryani which is absolutely heaven. In Bangalore, we might have to wait a bit more for them to start on with biryani but till then you can relish their chicken tikka masala with rice.

Cooked in rich tomato gravy with tender boneless chicken tikka pieces, it made our tummy and heart happy and fulfilled. It might not come across as one of the best chicken tikka masalas that you would have had but it’s still worth it.

  1. IKEA has a great menu. Very interesting to see the chicken tikka masala! We don’t have that here in Canada. Although we do have butter chicken and it is yum!
