5 Easy Baking Recipes for Your Sweet Cravings

When it comes to experimenting and making something delicious, baking is always a cool option. Especially in these times, being stuck at home, baking can help you beat your boredom and learn a fun new skill. 

My mother hardly ever got time to bake being a working lady so we used this time to try out some new recipes. With the vast variety of recipes, the internet has to offer it is very difficult to select recipes that suit you and to know the recipes which actually give good results for the majority of people. So I went scouring the net and YouTube and found these recipes.

We ended up collecting some of the most mouth-watering yet least time-consuming recipes. (The recipes I have mentioned are not my original recipes and have been collected from different places.)

So I would like to share a few of those, which require minimal ingredients that can be found mostly at home.

1. Dalgona Coffee Cake

This cake turned out to be the best one out of all that we tried at home, moist and delicious. The recipe is easy visit site with ingredients that you can find easily at home. It has a bittersweet taste and really brings out the coffee flavor.  

 There are two parts to the cake- the base cake and coffee cream frosting.

Ingredients (base cake):

  1. Maida/ refined flour – 150g 
  2. Cocoa powder – 40g
  3. ENO / baking soda – 1 tsp
  4. Refined oil – 50 ml
  5. Sugar – 100g
  6. Milk – 200ml
  7. Vanilla essence – few drops

Ingredients (coffee cream frosting):

  1. Instant coffee powder – 2 and a ½ tsp
  2. Powdered sugar – 4 tsp
  3. Hot water – 4 tsp
  4. For decoration, use melted Dairy Milk (optional)

2. Banana Walnut Bread

I’m not a very big fan of banana put in most things but I do love banana walnut cake. When we made the cake at home my mouth was watering just with the smell and this one too turned out to be great. So here’s the recipe we used.

Ingredients:

  1. 3 peeled overripe bananas
  2. ¾ cup of sugar
  3. ½ cup oil or butter
  4. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  5. 1 and ½ cup plain wheat flour
  6. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  7. ½ teaspoon baking soda
  8. ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  9. ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  10. ¼ cup black raisins(optional)

3. Chocolate Mug Cake

This is one of the fastest and most fail-safe recipes I came across. It is super easy to make and makes a great short notice dessert. Nutella lovers this one’s for you!

Ingredients: 

  1. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  2. 1 tbsp sugar
  3. 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  4. ¼ tsp baking powder
  5. 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  6. 3 tbsp milk
  7. 1 tbsp Nutella
  8. 1 mug

4. Chocolate Chip Cookies

I found this recipe just last week and it is absolutely superb. With simple ingredients, it will positively make your mouth water with delight.

Ingredients:

  1. ¾ cup Maida
  2. ¼ cup unsalted butter
  3. ¼ cup + 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  4. ½ tsp baking powder
  5. ½ tsp vanilla essence
  6. ¼ cup Choco chips
  7. Pinch of salt

5. Parle-G Vanilla Cake

Parle-g cakes are the most basic and quick cakes to bake. I baked my first experiment cupcake with crushed Parle-g in the fourth grade and because I was completely new to baking, I assumed it to be a success, which it partly was! I had used Parle-g biscuits since I had those but you can use any glucose biscuits.

Ingredients:

  1. 300 grams biscuits (3 single packs)
  2. ½ cup of sugar
  3. ½ tsp baking powder
  4. 1 cup mil
  5. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  6. ¼ cup walnuts/ almonds

Steps to make:

I hope these recipes will turn out as scrumptious for you guys as they did for me. The most important part is to enjoy the experience and time spent with your family while baking and not the final outcome. Don’t forget to take a break, to bake a cake!!
