Sarojini Nagar is considered to be girls’ paradise when it comes to apparels, household items and accessories. Popularly known as bargain bazaar, Sarojini Nagar offers a large variety of fashionable jewellery, footwear, apparel and much more.

It offers more variety for women as compared to men and thus, is highly preferred by women to come and shop here for casual as well as party wear. The timings for the Sarojini Nagar market are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. opened on all days of the week except Monday.

2. Lajpat Nagar- Central Market

The market remains open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on all days a week except Monday. You can easily get here through Lajpat Nagar metro station which is an interchange station between violet line and pink line, with a 5 minutes walk to the main market.

3. Paharganj Market

Paharganj market, which is just 5 minutes away from Connaught place, has a lot to offer when it comes to the collection for backpackers. This market has an amazing collection of leather products, shoes, bags, footwear and aesthetic as well as funky items like dreamcatchers, earrings and necklaces at a very affordable price.

This place is considered to be a tourist attraction because of the variety of textiles and handicrafts and pocket-friendly hotels, thus, attracting a large crowd here. Tourists love to buy things from here because of the authentic, medieval and hippie vibes.

Also, don’t forget to try Sitaram Diwanchand chole bhature and jalebis of Paharganj. Paharganj market remains open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The nearest metro station is New Delhi metro station on the yellow line.

4. Chandni Chowk

5. Janpath Market

Janpath market, located in Connaught Place, is popularly known as the Tibetan market. It has its street shops spread as a string over the road and is usually one of the most popular choices of people when it comes to buying products at bargain prices.

It is famous for its artificial jewellery and the variety in footwear, handmade bags, antiques, western and vintage wear which ladies love to pull off. People also come here to buy beautiful paintings and thus, this urban market draws both locals as well as foreigners towards it.

The market remains open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. In order to reach here, you can take the yellow line and get to Rajiv chowk metro station and exit towards the parliament street or Janpath.

In case you’re coming from the Airport express line, you can get off on Shivaji stadium metro station. 

6. Karol Bagh Market

Karol Bagh is yet another market famous for cheap and extremely affordable products. The market is more talked about when it comes to traditional and ethnic wear. It offers a large variety of attractive clothing options which you would not want to miss at such reasonable prices.

Along with this, if you are a bookworm and need to have a collection at low prices, then this is surely a place for you. Karol Bagh also has a part of the market, known as Gaffar market, which is a perfect place for gadget freaks as they have got almost every gadget at an affordable price.

Also, if you plan to visit there, don’t forget to try Roshan Di Kulfi, very famous for its kulfi and chole bhature. The market opens from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except on Mondays. You can reach here by taking a blue line metro which has Karol Bagh metro station. It is just 2 minutes away from the main market.

7. Palika Bazaar

Palika bazaar is located in Connaught Place as an underground market and is one of the most visited markets when it comes to electronic goods, clothing, footwear and accessories. The plus point it has over other markets is that it is air-conditioned so you don’t have to worry about the heat bothering you.

You can get a wide variety of commodities here at a very cheap price. Bargaining is a bit difficult here but if you’re good at it, you’ll manage to bring some really good stuff with you. It remains open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except on Mondays. You can get here by Rajiv chowk metro station which is the closest station to Palika bazaar. 

8. Dilli Haat

Khan market may not be the cheapest market option but definitely is the go-to place for luxury items. Bargaining is also not really preferred here. 

Khan Market is situated in Rabindra Nagar in New Delhi. It remains open from 10 am to 11 pm.

Everything being sold here is very affordable and it starts from INR 1000. The location of these markets are in Greater Kailash in New Delhi. The shops start their operations from 10 am and close up at 9 pm. 

11. Banjaara Furniture Market

The structure of Connaught place is categorised into three main divisions- the Inner circle, Middle Circle and Outer Circle. The Inner Circle is the major hub. Brands like Van Heusen, Louis Philippe, Khaki India, Raymond Fabindia, etc. can all be found here. 

Though Connaught place won’t be amongst the cheapest shopping destinations in Delhi but is definitely one of the best places to go to. 

Connaught place hosts a mix of shops selling in various price ranges. People looking for affordable priced items and people looking for luxury items can all flock to Connaught Place. Palika Bazar is located within Connaught Place. 

Connaught Place is near Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. The markets remain open from 11 am to 11 pm. 

14. Gaffar Market

All kinds of electronic goods such as Television sets, smart phones, cameras, etc will get repaired here. If you have got a cracked screen or a damaged motherboard just head straight to Gaffar market, everything will get repaired in little time.

This market is one of the oldest markets located in Central Delhi. At the start of the market you will find Parashar Foods shop which is famous for its Rajma Chawal. As you go inside the market you will find shops selling gorgeous Chikan kurtas, a variety of dupattas, beautiful handlooms, footwear shops and even luxurious items for your pets. 

Shankar Market is located near Barakhamba Road Metro Station. Shops in this market remain open from  11 am to 8:30 pm.
