Thus, you can bring a lot of stuff from these markets in a very small amount. so, here is a list of places for all the fashionistas to be at!

1. Sarojini Nagar Market

Sarojini Nagar is considered to be girls’ paradise when it comes to apparels, household items and accessories. Popularly known as bargain bazaar, Sarojini Nagar offers a large variety of fashionable jewellery, footwear, apparel and much more.

It offers more variety for women as compared to men and thus, is highly preferred by women to come and shop here for casual as well as party wear. The timings for the Sarojini Nagar market are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. opened on all days of the week except Monday.

Whenever you visit Sarojini Nagar, don’t forget to try their large variety of delicious pakoras. In order to get here, you can take the pink metro line which has Sarojini Nagar as its station and drops you exactly in front of the market.

2. Lajpat Nagar- Central Market

Lajpat Nagar is yet another shopping hub which attracts college crowd because of the collection it offers at a very cheap price and tasty street food. It offers beautiful traditional clothing and other quality and pocket-friendly products.

Whether its clothes, home furnishing and decor items, accessories or anything which you’re looking for, Lajpat Nagar has everything great to offer. Whenever you get here, don’t forget to try Dolma Aunty momos of Lajpat Nagar which are famous all over Delhi.

The market remains open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on all days a week except Monday. You can easily get here through Lajpat Nagar metro station which is an interchange station between violet line and pink line, with a 5 minutes walk to the main market.

3. Paharganj Market

Paharganj market, which is just 5 minutes away from Connaught place, has a lot to offer when it comes to the collection for backpackers. This market has an amazing collection of leather products, shoes, bags, footwear and aesthetic as well as funky items like dreamcatchers, earrings and necklaces at a very affordable price.

This place is considered to be a tourist attraction because of the variety of textiles and handicrafts and pocket-friendly hotels, thus, attracting a large crowd here. Tourists love to buy things from here because of the authentic, medieval and hippie vibes.

Also, don’t forget to try Sitaram Diwanchand chole bhature and jalebis of Paharganj. Paharganj market remains open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The nearest metro station is New Delhi metro station on the yellow line.

4. Chandni Chowk

Chandni Chowk, also known as Old Delhi, is considered to be one of the oldest places of Delhi with a never-ending charm of its royal history. Whether it’s about books at a very low price, astounding wedding lehengas or some delicious street food to gorge on, Chandni Chowk is the heart of Delhiites and their first preference when it comes to affordable shopping.

The Paranthe Wali Gali, Qureshi Kebab Corner and Sharbat-e-Mohabbat are going to be the highlights of your day when you come here to shop. Chandni Chowk offers a large variety of silk and cotton sarees, precious jewellery, beautiful wedding lehengas and embroidered products.

The market remains open on all days except Sunday from 10 a.m. You can get here through the yellow line which has Chandni Chowk metro station on the route.

5. Janpath Market

Janpath market, located in Connaught Place, is popularly known as the Tibetan market. It has its street shops spread as a string over the road and is usually one of the most popular choices of people when it comes to buying products at bargain prices.

It is famous for its artificial jewellery and the variety in footwear, handmade bags, antiques, western and vintage wear which ladies love to pull off. People also come here to buy beautiful paintings and thus, this urban market draws both locals as well as foreigners towards it.

The market remains open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. In order to reach here, you can take the yellow line and get to Rajiv chowk metro station and exit towards the parliament street or Janpath.

In case you’re coming from the Airport express line, you can get off on Shivaji stadium metro station. 

6. Karol Bagh Market

Karol Bagh is yet another market famous for cheap and extremely affordable products. The market is more talked about when it comes to traditional and ethnic wear. It offers a large variety of attractive clothing options which you would not want to miss at such reasonable prices.

Along with this, if you are a bookworm and need to have a collection at low prices, then this is surely a place for you. Karol Bagh also has a part of the market, known as Gaffar market, which is a perfect place for gadget freaks as they have got almost every gadget at an affordable price.

Also, if you plan to visit there, don’t forget to try Roshan Di Kulfi, very famous for its kulfi and chole bhature. The market opens from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except on Mondays. You can reach here by taking a blue line metro which has Karol Bagh metro station. It is just 2 minutes away from the main market.

7. Palika Bazaar

Palika bazaar is located in Connaught Place as an underground market and is one of the most visited markets when it comes to electronic goods, clothing, footwear and accessories. The plus point it has over other markets is that it is air-conditioned so you don’t have to worry about the heat bothering you.

You can get a wide variety of commodities here at a very cheap price. Bargaining is a bit difficult here but if you’re good at it, you’ll manage to bring some really good stuff with you. It remains open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except on Mondays. You can get here by Rajiv chowk metro station which is the closest station to Palika bazaar. 

8. Dilli Haat

If you love handicrafts and want to get your hands laid on some of the best handicraft items then you have to visit Dilli Haat. Delhi Haat gives an absolute feel of a village ambience with shops having thatched roofs and the whole place has a rural vibe which sets the tone for the handicrafts being sold.

We recommend you spoiling yourself with amazing pottery, artefacts, paintings, furniture and much more at a very affordable price. There are also many lovely food stalls that you will find here. So do not worry about feeling famished after long hours of exploring handicrafts.

Dilli Haat is located in Kidwai Nagar West in New Delhi. It remains open from 11 am to 10 pm. So go ahead and indulge yourself with some wonderful handicrafts.

9. Khan Market

If you are looking to buy from some luxury brands then this is your place. Not only luxury brands but in Khan market, there are shops where you can get your clothes tailored from some of the finest tailors in India. There are also many clothing, cosmetic, lifestyle and medicinal shops here. 

Khan market may not be the cheapest market option but definitely is the go-to place for luxury items. Bargaining is also not really preferred here. 

Khan Market is situated in Rabindra Nagar in New Delhi. It remains open from 10 am to 11 pm.

10. Greater Kailash – M Block Market & N Block Market

Two perfect markets in Delhi if you are looking for western clothes and vibrant fashion options. The markets host shops which consist of casual western wear, party outfits, artificial jewellery, footwears and even office wear. 

Everything being sold here is very affordable and it starts from INR 1000. The location of these markets are in Greater Kailash in New Delhi. The shops start their operations from 10 am and close up at 9 pm. 

11. Banjaara Furniture Market

If you want to redecorate your house on a budget but do not want to compromise on style, then Banjaara furniture market is your destination and your saviour. This market has a splendid collection of vintage decorative lamps, stylish and comfy cushions, regal style bed sheets, curtains and much more. 

You can also bargain and get the best deals and decor pieces that you will ever need. Some good decor items even can cost you only INR 400. Banjaara market is located near IILM Institute in Gurgaon. The market remains open from 9 am to 8 pm.

12. Kamla Nagar Market

Kamla Nagar market is a popular shopping destination amongst the people in Delhi for fabulous bags and footwear. It is located next to North Campus of Delhi University and therefore is the shopping destination for students looking to buy some good things at an affordable rate. 

If you are looking to find clothes that are in trend then you will definitely find it in Kamla Nagar Shopping market. Various bags, backpacks, branded products, accessories, daily wear clothing are all available here. 

Kamla Nagar is known for the huge amount of varieties it hosts and also for the quality of products available at such a cheap price. Even without bargaining, you will easily find trendy choices at just INR 500.

The market is open from Tuesday to Sunday. The timings are from 10 am to 10 pm.

13. Connaught Place

Connaught Place is also known as CP and is a major shopping hub at the heart of Delhi. Air-conditioned circular architecture buildings welcome shoppers to find their wishlist items ranging from electronics, perfumes, jewellery, fashionable clothing, books, handicrafts etc.  It is one of the recommended places for wedding shoppers.

The structure of Connaught place is categorised into three main divisions- the Inner circle, Middle Circle and Outer Circle. The Inner Circle is the major hub. Brands like Van Heusen, Louis Philippe, Khaki India, Raymond Fabindia, etc. can all be found here. 

Though Connaught place won’t be amongst the cheapest shopping destinations in Delhi but is definitely one of the best places to go to. 

Connaught place hosts a mix of shops selling in various price ranges. People looking for affordable priced items and people looking for luxury items can all flock to Connaught Place. Palika Bazar is located within Connaught Place. 

Connaught Place is near Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. The markets remain open from 11 am to 11 pm. 

14. Gaffar Market

A hub for electronic goods. The shops in this market can save you loads on repairing electronic parts. All kinds of electronic goods such as Television sets, smart phones, cameras, etc will get repaired here. If you have got a cracked screen or a damaged motherboard just head straight to Gaffar market, everything will get repaired in little time.

You will also find enormous opportunities to lay your hands on fabulous deals related to second hand electronic products. Apart from electronics, trendy phone covers, clothes and other lifestyle goods are also sold here at affordable rates.

Gaffar Market is located near Karol Bagh metro station and is open all days except on Mondays.

15. Shankar Market

This market is also popularly known as The Fabrics Hub of Delhi. If you are a hoarder of local fabrics then we recommend Shankar market. Beautiful local fabrics are all found in Shankar market. You can even get your favourite suit tailor made.

This market is one of the oldest markets located in Central Delhi. At the start of the market you will find Parashar Foods shop which is famous for its Rajma Chawal. As you go inside the market you will find shops selling gorgeous Chikan kurtas, a variety of dupattas, beautiful handlooms, footwear shops and even luxurious items for your pets. 

Shankar Market is located near Barakhamba Road Metro Station. Shops in this market remain open from  11 am to 8:30 pm.
